Termination method changes by media; the labeling discipline never does.

  • 568A/568B punch-down termination into keystone jacks and patch panels for Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A
  • F-connector termination for coax, fusion pigtails for fiber — the right connector for the media, not a one-size adapter
  • A consistent identifier scheme (e.g. room–rack–panel:port) applied to every cable, jack, and patch-panel port per TIA-606
  • Machine-printed labels within 300mm of every termination — no handwritten tags that fade or smudge
  • Wall-plate labels matched exactly to their patch-panel port, so tracing a run takes seconds, not a flashlight and a lot of patience

They're two accepted wiring pinouts for terminating Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A — functionally equivalent as long as both ends of a run match. We standardize on one across your whole project so every termination is consistent.

A short, machine-printed identifier — for example a room or rack code plus a panel and port number — applied at both the wall plate and the matching patch-panel port, so the two always read as a pair.
